A vintage sterling silver hallmarked battle rattle - a copy of the Victorian items - this one made in 1973 by Crisford and Norris Birmingham. Has full hallmarks with makers initials C&N silver marks ofr Birmingham and date letter Y.
The rattle has a plastic teething ring and the silver figure of a clown or jester with two silver bells at the "arms" The handle is mother of pearl.
Measures total length 6 3/4 inches (17cm) clown head measures 3 inches long (7.5cm)
In very fine condition with no damage - would make a great gift.
