3.4 gram slice of the rare Beaver,Oklahoma L5 chondrite. The Beaver meteorite is believed to have been found around 1940. Its fame stems from the fact that the meteorite after its recovery spent 40 years holding open a door at the Beaver, Oklahoma County Jail. This single stone recovery weighd in at 25.6 Kgs. and is composed of mostly silicon minerals like olivine, pyroxene and scattered grains of nickel-iron and troilite. This slice measures approximately 22mm x 11mm at highest point x 5mm.
