2.71 gram END-CUT SLICE of NWA 788 ORDINARY CHONDRITE.  This meteorite was found in the Sahara Desert in 2001 and is a boundary type meteorite sitting between the petrologic type 5 and 6.  The NWA 788 has a highly crystallized matrix with some well-formed chondrules and is noted for containing plagioclase rich inclusions and a dark brown entry-formed crust.  This slice measures approximately 15mm x 15mm at highest point x 8mm.
