The Sony DTC-60ES is a DAT (Digital Audio Tape) deck from Sony's high-end ES (Elevated Standard) line - a format that records and plays back audio in the digital domain via tape, offering a signal path valued by recording engineers and audiophiles for its transparency. ES-series components were built to a higher mechanical and electronic standard than Sony's mainstream range, making the DTC-60ES a sought-after piece of home studio and hi-fi equipment. DAT decks of this calibre are used for archiving recordings, transferring legacy tape material, and as a high-quality digital source in a playback chain.
A great opportunity to own a Sony DTC-60ES at this price point.
