(88) This listing is for a nice Antique (c early / mid 1900s) French Spelter Figurine depicting 'Our Lady of Pontmain' popularly known as 'Our Lady of Hope' or 'Notre - Dame de Pontmain'. It depicts Our Lady as she appeared in the 1871 Marian apparition. She  stands on an ornate pedestal, wearing a long robes with relief patterns of stars, whilst holding a cross to her chest, her expression reflects  the apparitional message of compassion and hope. The elaborately pierced pedestal base is decorated with a crucifix and 'The Sacred Heart', and the top is marked with the text: 'N D de Pontmain'.

The figurine would originally have been a devotional souvenir purchased by Catholic Pilgrims visiting the sanctuary shrine in Pontmain, France.  It is 19.5cm high, in great condition, and a beautiful religious artefact, which would make an interesting addition to any collection of historical religious icons.

I Have Many More Religious Artefacts - Crucifixes, Prayer Beads, Icons etc, Together with Numerous other Vintage and Antique Listings - Multi Item Postage Discount would of course be given where applicable.

Thank you for taking time to peruse my collection and stay well,     Colin
