Trumpeter - Soviet T-64B MOD 1984 - 1:35 - 520 parts

Trumpeter recreates the Soviet T-64B MOD 1984 main battle tank as a detailed plastic kit on a scale of 1:35. The kit consists of over 520 parts and replicates a modernized variant of the T-64B.

• Plastic kit of the T-64B MOD 1984 in 1:35 scale
• Over 520 parts on 22 molded parts as well as separate lower hull and turret
• Lower hull and tower manufactured using the multi-slide mold process
• Plastic chain links for drive display
• 3 photo-etched parts included for additional detail
• Model length: approx. 261 mm, width: approx. 105mm

The T-64 was developed in Kharkov under the direction of Alexander A. Morozov as a new generation main battle tank. One of its distinctive features was the automatic loader for the 125 mm gun, which eliminated the need for an additional crew member and limited dimensions and weight.

The T-64B was introduced in 1976 and could fire guided anti-tank missiles through the gun barrel. Unlike the T-54/55 family, the T-64 was used exclusively by the Soviet Army and was not exported. Improved T-64Bs were used by Soviet units in East Germany and later in Hungary from 1981 onwards.

Trumpeter implements the MOD 1984 version with over 520 parts, finely crafted components as well as components for the lower hull and turret manufactured using the multi-slide mold process. The plastic chain links and 3 included photo-etched parts complement the model-making detail.
