HobbyBoss - PLA 59-1 Medium Tank - 1:35 - 520 parts

With the PLA 59-1 Medium Tank, Hobby Boss is implementing a further developed version of the Chinese Type 59 family as a plastic kit on a scale of 1:35. Over 520 parts, individual chains, a copper cable and a photo-etched part ensure an extensive and differentiated structure.

The model was created from several improvements to the Type 59 and received, among other things, a simplified fire control system, a laser range finder and additional technical revisions.

The further development, known as Type 59-I, was created through various improvements to the original Type 59. These included hydraulic support for the opening and closing mechanisms of covers, a simplified fire control system and a laser range finder.

Further changes affected the technical supervision and safety of the vehicle. A warning system for low engine pressure and an automatic fire extinguishing system are mentioned, which means that the 59-I version differed from the earlier basic model in several areas.

Hobby Boss is implementing this modernized version with over 520 parts in a scale of 1:35. The lower hull and tower, manufactured using the multiple slide process, individual chains as well as photo-etched parts and copper cables complete the detailed structure; the finished model reaches a length of around 25.7 cm.
