Ibanez Prestige RG1550MV Electric Guitar Alder Body Maple Neck DiMarzio Tested

Key Features

  • ✔ This is a near-mint Ibanez Prestige RG1550MV electric guitar, crafted in Japan and part of Ibanez's top-tier Prestige series. Featuring a sleek alder body and a maple neck with a maple fingerboard, this guitar is a highly versatile instrument optimized for professional performance. It has been custom-modified for enhanced playability and tonal clarity, making it an excellent choice for serious musicians.
  • ✔ The guitar has been upgraded from its original HSH configuration to a 2H (3-way) switch setup, equipped with high-quality DiMarzio pickups: the front Air Norton (used by John Petrucci) and the rear FRED (Satch-inspired). It features Verden wiring with a Kester solder finish, a tone cut for better sound clarity, and a single volume control with a dummy front knob for aesthetic purposes. The setup is optimized for downward arm use, delivering a rich, harmonic, and articulate sound suitable for technical playing styles.
  • ✔ The instrument has been tested and confirmed to produce sound with good pickup switching and proper electrical function. There is some minor static noise when adjusting the volume, and the body shows minimal scratches or paint chips, maintaining a clean appearance. The headstock has slight minor scratches at the tip, and the frets are estimated to have about 70% remaining life. The guitar includes the original hard case, tremolo arm, and original parts such as the HSH pickguard and selector switch.
