A fabulously unusual pair of Victorian cufflinks in solid 18 karat gold, each one bearing the ornate initials 'WB'.

In gorgeous hand painted sepia, the initials are beautifully tenderly done, with foliate surrounds and painted to look like the letters themselves are growing. The porcelain panels are overlain with their original rounded glasses for protection.

The links themselves are unusually tiny, the fine details really making an impact due to this. They're superb quality throughout, with thick solid gold connectors, clearly a custom made piece created without regard to cost.

Dating to around 1870, they're in superb condition, with a small amount of wear visible under magnification, and no loss or damage. Their faces are a tiny 13 x 11 mm, and they weigh in at 5.8 grams together.
