This unique piece of jewelry is just one item in my Reclaimed Treasures Collection--Old jewelry given new life!
The center point of this piece is a cluster of golden metal butterflies of various sizes colored with muted green, yellow, and brown enamel. The cluster is from an old necklace and measures 3 by 2 1/2 inches. I used 12-14 by 3-4 mm rectangular jasper beads, 6 mm carnelian ball beads, and 4 mm ceramic ball beads for the length of the necklace, earrings, and bracelet. The beads are earthy colors of brown, beige, and deep reddish orange. They are strung on knotted silk.
The necklace is 22 inches long and the bracelet is 8 1/2 inches long. Both have gold filled lobster clasps. The earrings are 2 3/8 inches long with gold filled hooks and wires.
