Offered for sale is a vintage NOS Accutron 781AW 37.8mm Armored White Snorkel watch crystal - this crystal is made to fit Accutron's Ref. 781 Cal. 2182 Deep Sea and World Time watch models from the early 1970's, and is in brand new condition in the original factory envelope.
If you're looking at this listing, then you're probably working on restoring one of Accutron's dual crown Cal 2182 Deep Sea or World Time watches, and have discovered that the watch requires a proprietary crystal. These large crystals have been appearing for sale less and less frequently over the last few years, and at the time of this listing, this is the only 781AW crystal being offered for sale on eBay.
[I also want to offer a caution to prospective buyers - recently, I've seen sellers from Asia and Great Britain offering aftermarket crystals which they claim will fit the Ref. 781 case, but that have a slightly smaller diameter. Please keep in mind that crystals are measured to the 10th of a millimeter for a reason, and in the case of a tension ring diver's crystal like this one, a precise fit is necessary in order to recreate the factory water tight seal that was intended. A single 10th of a millimeter difference in diameter is crucial here, and represents the difference between having the correct crystal installed or not.]
