This image shows the 1992 Royal Australian Mint Six Coin Proof Year Set, commemorating the Barcelona Olympic Games.

This set includes six proof coins, ranging from the 5c to the $2 denominations.

A key feature is the commemorative $1 coin, which showcases a design of a female javelin thrower, notably one of the few instances a woman other than the Queen or Princess of Wales has been featured on an Australian coin.

The set was released by the Royal Australian Mint to celebrate the XXV Olympiad.

The 1992 set is significant as it marked the first year of the new six-coin set configuration following the cessation of 1c and 2c coin production.
