Offered for sale is a nice 1974 (N4) Accutron 219 (Ref. 3392) 10K RGP watch which runs well, but which has a minor stem issue. This is one of a number of watches that were part of a retired watch technicians inventory of watches and watch parts, acquired several years ago, that I have begun listing here on eBay.

Mechanically, the Cal. 2192.10 tuning fork movement is in solid running condition - it fired up immediately with a new Renata battery, and has been running steadily and keeping accurate time and date over the past week.  It should be noted, however, that sometimes, if the crown is pulled all the way out, it pulls out just slightly beyond the time setting position - the stem does NOT pull all the way out when that happens, it simply needs to be pushed back in slightly to engage the hands correctly. The crown sets the time and date, as designed (including quick setting the date.)

Cosmetically, the watch is in nice clean condition - the 34.2mm gold plated case and 10K RGP case back show signs of normal wear in the form of small scratches and mild wear to the inner edges of the lugs.  The case back features a professionally done 25 year anniversary inscription for a Baker/Beech-Nut Corp. employee, but still cleanly displays its circular factory graining and factory stamping (please review the photos posted with this listing for the best physical description of this watch.) The original silver dial with applied gold markers and date window at 3 o'clock is in excellent condition; the matching hand set is also in great condition, with the lume in the hour and minute hands having aged to a lovely tan color, as is the silver date wheel.  The signed Accutron crown is in excellent condition. The crystal is clean and clear overall, but does show some light wear at the edges.

The watch is mounted on the same vintage blue genuine snake grain leather watch band on which it was found (it appears to have a lot of life left in it, so I cleaned it with leather cleaner), and will fit a wrist of up to approximately 7 1/3" in this configuration.

This is a nice, clean running example of Accutron's final iteration of their iconic tuning fork movement series.

Please review all of the photographs, as they comprise the most important part of the item description.  If you have any questions about the item, please ask before bidding; there are no returns on this lot (unless it's not as described in some way.)

All international sales will ship via eBay's Global Shipping Program, no exceptions.

We will combine shipping where possible - please request an invoice or send a note once your bidding for the day is complete.
