This antique miniature tabletop chest of drawers, frequently referred to as an apprentice piece or a salesman sample. Historically, these highly detailed miniature pieces were made by furniture apprentices to showcase their technical skills, or by master craftsmen as portable scale models for travelling salesmen to demonstrate designs to prospective clients.
This piece features five functional drawers stacked vertically, a flat tabletop are and a decorative, scalloped gallery backing with a distinct central cutout accent.
Ideal for storing jewelley, make up etc.
Good useable condition, there is some ring marks to the tabletop area (please see photos).
