A pair of 1970’s Photophore Black Glass Candle Holders by J Durante France

In interior styling, a photophore refers to a glass tea light or candle holder. 

These specific items are vintage mid-century modern French photophores produced around the 1970s and 1980s by J.G. Durand.

They are highly collectable and distinct for their Two-piece design, featuring a glossy black glass pedestal base coupled with a removable clear crystal storm chimney.

These were originally packaged and sold in individual dark boxes labeled simply as "1 Photophore"

Their overall height is approx. 21cm x 10cm wide. The base is 6.7cm high x 9cm in diameter. The clear chimney is 14.5cm high x 10cm wide

They are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, please see pictures.
