    Phra Chao Five Buddhas – Namo Buddhaya

    Phra Chao Five Buddhas refers to the traditional belief in the five Buddhas associated with the present era: Kakusandha Buddha, Konagamana Buddha, Kassapa Buddha, Gautama Buddha, and Maitreya Buddha.

    The tradition is closely connected with the Mae Ka Phueak legend, in which five eggs represent the five Buddhas who develop their spiritual merit and show gratitude toward their mother.

    The sacred heart of the Five Buddhas mantra is “Na Mo Phut Tha Ya” (Namo Buddhaya). It is widely used in Buddhist prayers, yantra designs, amulets, and sacred tattoos.
