A beautiful original Stanley No. 8 jointer Plane.

This is the Type 11 plane with three patent dates behind the frog.

It is thought by many this period of time was Stanley‘s high mark in quality production.

It includes Rosewood tote and knob in beautiful condition.

The iron is the sweetheart logo iron.

The mouth is undamaged, and there are no cracks or issues anywhere on the body.

There is a very small amount of pitting on the iron cutter. (See pics.)

I totally disassembled and cleaned every part.

The Japanning in very nice condition.

There still may be a few very tiny arrant paint droplets from previous work environment.

Whether you are collector or user, I believe this is a fine example.

I do need to mention that lever cap has a couple of small flea bites out of the lower end. I don’t believe it’s a dealbreaker, but I don’t like surprises either.
