N.B. This has not been used for a long time. When found the cable was in a poor state so I cut it off just leaving short tails to enable testing. The motor runs OK but the switch is a little sticky. I think it just needs some lube. I decided not to replace the cable myself as I didn't want to imply necessarily that all is well electrically. Obviously this is an old machine that has lived a life so I suggest it should be treated to electrical safety testing before being re-wired and put back into service.
