True vintage 1980s real chinz - glazed cotton fabric - beautiful ruched
Austrian style blinds/curtains made by a professional curtain maker in SW
London....were very expensive at the time. We remember the fabric was Pierre Frey Paris - they are a high class French design & manufacturer of top quality fabrics. (Were
taken down and carefully stored away some decades ago). 'Art deco' revivial
style pattern - very stylish modern mix of pastels: light blue, light pinkish
red, cream, beige - in a modern colourway style. Lined, pinch pleat, with a
bottom frill/ruffle on the hem, attached by blue piping. The Austrian
blinds/curtains have tiny brass rings on the back, designed to be pulled 'up'
(rather than side to side). Sold without these pull cords - easy to add. But,
you can ignore the tiny rings entirely (as they're so small) and simplu use these as
traditional curtains ie pulling them side to side/horizontally instead. The fabric is made in France and the blinds were made in the UK.
2 Austrian blinds/curtains listed here - 1 was made for a wide bay of windows
and 1 was the balcony door in the same room. You could attach both Austrian
blinds/curtains together, if you have a wide flank of windows, to make 1
large blind/curtain.
In good condition overall - there are some general marks here and there - on the back mainly which has some staining, especially the back of the door curtain . (This is not noticeable when blinds/curtains are hung-up). Please note: these have not been dry cleaned and have a typical amount of dust as expected from a used true vintage item.
