Original British Railways Central Wagon Authority poster dating from 1963/64, featuring the striking “Well Done!” target and dart design.

Produced to recognise improved utilisation of the British Railways wagon fleet, the poster states that during the peak six-week period from November to mid-December 1963, substantially more coal, iron and steel traffic was carried using fewer wagons than in 1962.

The bold message concludes:

“YOU KEPT THOSE WAGONS MOVING!”
