Hornby R103 Southern Railway Class M7 0-4-4T locomotive. Features opening smokebox door. Supplied boxed with instructions.
The locomotive has been lightly oiled and test run for 5 minutes in each direction at varying speeds on the rolling road, followed by running in both directions on the layout. Runs smoothly with good performance. Loco is in excellent / near mint condition.
Box shows normal shelf wear.
Where and when used:
The LSWR/SR/BR Class M7 0-4-4T tank locomotives were used from the early 1900s through the steam era on suburban passenger duties, branch line work and light freight across Southern Railway regions including London suburban routes, the South Coast and West Country.
