Vintage Nakamichi RX-202 Unidirectional Auto Reverse Cassette Deck, made in Japan.

The RX-202 uses Nakamichi's distinctive UDAR automatic-reverse mechanism, which physically rotates the cassette to play the opposite side while maintaining a unidirectional tape transport.

Features include Dolby B/C noise reduction, Type I/II/IV tape compatibility, LED peak-level metering, tape counter, memory functions, headphone output and independent recording controls.

This example includes the original RX-202 factory box and fitted internal packaging shown in the photographs.

Recently powered on and basic functions were tested and operated as intended during that brief test. No professional overhaul, calibration or extended recording/playback evaluation has been performed. In particular, I am not representing this as a freshly serviced example with new belts, idlers or other transport components.

That distinction is intentional: this is a working vintage RX-202 being sold according to its present observed condition, not a restored deck.
