This is a Musicman Ray34 HH Bass in Stealth Black. This is the discontinued model which was made in Indonesia, so it has the black painted headstock. This is not the new Dark Ray Version. Unfortunately, whilst fitting new Hipshot tuning gears (far superior to the flawed ones it came with) the headstock paint came away whilst removing the music man tuning gears, which were actually glued in! See damage in photos, like a splintering of the paintwork. I did manage to get the hipshot tuning gears in, bought new by the way. I also replaced the double wafer selector switch for a better quality one from Germany, and re-wired the electronics so that the pick-ups run in parallel like the vintage models. I like my basses perfect, so I was devastated when the damage happened. Going to a new home. Original retail price £1150. Apart from the mentioned damage, the bass is immaculate, it has hardly been used and ha never left the house. It wears set of Rotosound Swingbass 40-100 strings, and comes with a hard case. The paint finish is matte, roasted maple neck, and maple fretboard I think. With the case and upgrades I think £900 is a reasonable ask. Free Postage to U.K only.
