Offered for sale is an excellent vintage 1970s Stellaris Electronic Q Seiko 3302A Gold Plated watch.  This is one of a number of vintage watches that were part of a retired watch technicians inventory of watches and watch parts, acquired a number of years ago, that I have begun listing here on eBay.

Mechanically, the 9J Seiko 3302A electronic movement is in good running condition -  since installing a new Renata battery a week ago, the watch has been running steadily and keeping excellent time, day and date.  The crown sets the hands and advances the date, as designed; the quick set mechanism for the date (pushing the crown in) works correctly as well.  Now, that said, the service history of this watch is unknown, so despite its good running condition at this time, I'm going to recommend that the new owner explore having the movement serviced in the near future, so that the movement's life can be extended to its maximum.

Cosmetically, the 38.1mm gold plated case is in outstanding overall condition, and shows signs of very light wear evidenced in the form of some fine scratches/marks, but it otherwise retains extremely sharp lines, corners and edges overall - there are no signs of wear through to the gold plated finish anywhere (the rear of the case shows virtually no signs of wear.)  The stainless steel case back and battery hatch are extremely clean with minimal scratching and sharp factory stamping (please review the photos, as they form the best description of the physical condition of this watch.) The original silver sunburst dial with applied gold block hour markers and the day/date window at 3 o'clock is in terrific condition, matching the condition of the original handset and day/date wheels. The crystal is flawless, while the crown is original and matches the little worn condition of the case.

The watch is mounted on an NOS vintage 1970s brown woven genuine leather band, and will fit a wrist of up to approximately 8" in this configuration.

Whether you're a collector of vintage electronic watches or a Seiko collector, you probably won't see another example of a Seiko 3302A based watch in this kind of condition (both cosmetic and mechanical) any time soon.

Please review all of the photographs, as they comprise the most important part of the item description.  If you have any questions about the item, please ask before bidding; there are no returns on this lot (unless it's not as described in some way.)

All international sales will ship via eBay's Global Shipping Program, no exceptions.

We will combine shipping where possible - please request an invoice or send a note once your bidding for the day is complete.
