This auction is for a vintage Eversharp Skyline Demi size fountain pen featuring the highly sought-after ribbed gold-filled cap. Designed by legendary industrial designer Henry Dreyfuss, this 1940s classic beautifully pairs the iconic "streamliner" locomotive clip with an elegant, vertically lined gold cap.
Product Details:
- Size: Demi size (approximately 12 cms capped)—perfect for smaller hands.
- Cap: Stunning Ribbed Gold-Filled Cap featuring vertical lines and the classic wrap-around pocket clip.
- Nib: Genuine 14K Yellow Gold nib. Delivers a smooth Fine (F) line.
- Barrel Color: black barrel and cap derby.
Condition Notes: The ribbed gold cap is in reasonable vintage condition given the pen is 80 odd years old. It does have a few dents, a couple of flecks of gold are missing. The cap screws firmly onto the barrel. The clip is strong, and tight. The plastic barrel is free of cracks and personalised engravings. The barrel does have signs of use, including a few dents and scratches. The sac works, and inhales and expels water although I have not filled and written with this pen.
