Op Art or Kinetic Foil Art, Barbara Lüdinghausen, 1970's/80's 38cm x 40cm

This piece is a vintage 1970s/1980s Kinetic Op Art Holographic print credited to artist Barbara Lüdinghausen (and sometimes distributed under the brand/publisher name Selin).

Key Characteristics

Visual Effect: It features a "cat eye" or "all-seeing eye" motif stamped or embossed onto a metallic silver foil/héliophore surface. Because of the textured metallic foil, the light reflects dynamically, creating a moving holographic or shifting 3D illusion when you walk past it.

Origin & Era: These Mid-Century Space Age pieces were highly popular across Europe throughout the 1970s and 1980s. They align visually with avant-garde electronic album artwork of the same period (such as Bernard Parmegiani's Les Soleils de l'Île de Pâques).

It is mounted in a simple Black Frame with a Black border

The frame measures approx: 38cm high × 40cm wide (although it can be hung either way up)

It is in generally very good condition with just a couple of small marks, please see pictures.
