Luang Por Derm Phutthasaro (1861–1951) was a highly respected Thai monk and the abbot of Wat Nong Pho, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand. He was widely known as the “Deity of Nakhon Sawan” for his spiritual knowledge, kindness, and sacred craftsmanship.
He was skilled in traditional Buddhist magic, Metta Maha Niyom (charm and popularity), protection, and healing. He was also famous for creating sacred objects such as Meed Mor, Buddha statues, and amulets. He helped develop and restore many temple buildings and public facilities.
His famous amulets include the First Sema Medal (1927), an early pressed medal produced in limited numbers, making it rare among collectors. Another popular oval medal was created in 1939 to commemorate his 78th birthday and was produced in several metals, including silver and copper.
Luang Por Derm's amulets are especially respected for protection from danger, escaping accidents, good fortune, and Metta Maha Niyom, making his sacred objects highly valued by Thai collectors and devotees.
