Antique 19thC Victorian Chinoiserie Paper Mache Tote Box

An Antique (circa 1880s or so) Victorian Chinoiserie Paper Mache Tote Box. The Tote Box is a very unusual form for Paper Mache. It is decorated in gilt gold with an Asian motif. Overall dimensions are 12 1/4" x 8". The Tote Box is in good overall condition, the only thing to note is a line in the paper mache on the interior end, it doesn't go through to the exterior, see closeup photo.
