Beautiful , antique Edwardian-era three-stone bar brooch featuring exceptional craftsmanship from the turn of the 20th century (circa 1900).
This stunning trilogy brooch features three large, brilliantly faceted clear paste stones securely held in classic prong settings.
Unlike later mass-produced costume jewelry, these stones are beautifully hand-faceted in an Old European cut style, complete with the highly visible central culet that collectors look for.
The brooch is constructed with a desirable open-backed design, allowing natural light to pass completely through the stones to maximize their vintage sparkle and fire.
The frame is made of a white metal.
The reverse features a fully functional, period-accurate C-clasp mechanism with an added safety loop, keeping the straight pin stem firmly and securely in place when worn.
This piece is in excellent antique condition given its age. All three paste stones are bright, securely set, and free from major chips. The silver framework is structurally sound, and the pin mechanism functions perfectly. It has been lightly dusted but left unpolished to preserve the beautiful natural oxidation in the crevices that highlights its antique depth.
