A quality pair of traditional Loake Shoemakers men's Oxford shoes, manufactured in England and finished in a rich polished brown leather.

These are marked internally as Style 200T, UK size 8, on Last 3625/7.

The shoes have a classic formal silhouette with closed Oxford-style lacing, elegant panel construction and stitched cap toes. The warm chestnut/brown colouring works particularly well with navy, grey, brown and traditional tailoring.

The uppers have a smooth, highly polished leather finish which gives them considerably more character than a modern coated synthetic-looking dress shoe. Natural creasing from previous wear is visible across the vamp, but the leather still presents particularly well overall.

Inside, the shoes have full tan-coloured linings and insoles carrying the Loake Shoemakers England branding. They are also clearly marked Made in England, an important selling point for buyers specifically seeking traditional British-made footwear.

Underneath are traditional leather soles with rubber heel sections. The leather soles have seen definite use and show corresponding surface wear, so I've photographed these clearly rather than attempting to disguise their condition.

Stylistically, these work extremely well as formal or business shoes but could equally be worn with chinos or smart denim for a more traditional smart-casual look.

A particularly attractive pair for someone looking for genuine English-made men's footwear without paying the price of a new pair of Loakes.
