Good Vintage Condition. Some fine surface scratches, crazing and discoloration/darkening of smaller beads, a couple small hair cracks in a couple beads, inclusions and variations in color and size.

Beads appear to be made of a composite of bakelite and some filler material.  Beads had random subsurface particles, including red and brown spots or streaks.  

We could not get a read using the Simichrome test.  The beads do give off a strong chemical odor when warmed or washed.  They are heavy for their size, weighing over a whopping 108 grams (!).  They also give off that familiar "clunk" sound when moved around (watch video in listing photos).

This necklace was part of a large Bakelite jewelry collection acquired from the contents of an antique shop liquidation.

Necklace is carefully packaged and shipped in a jewelry gift box.
