Onkyo P-3000R preamplifier, cost around £1700 new. Extremely well built (and heavy) high end preamp with pretty much every connection you'd need including an excellent MM phono stage (which I paired with an MC cartridge and step-up transformer). 2x Burr Brown DACs (one per channel) and separate power supplies for digital and analogue sections.  The outer case is constructed from thick machined aluminium panels with high quality machined RCA sockets. USB Audio compliant device so it's plug and play. Comes in its original box with remote, multilingual instructions and mains power leads. Bypass-able tone controls and also a display off option. Pretty much sonically transparent so pairs well with any power amplifier. Apologies for the cost of postage but this is a very heavy item at 12kg.
