Vintage original Matchbox Lesney No. 11a ERF Petrol Tanker.

A genuine early Matchbox 1-75 Series model made by Lesney in England, dating from the late 1950s.

This is the SMALL early ERF tanker, measuring approximately 52mm long. It is the red version of the original No. 11 ERF tanker, which was later replaced by the larger No. 11b version.

The model features the distinctive ERF cab and cylindrical petrol tanker body.

Condition: Very heavily playworn vintage condition with extensive paint loss, chips, scratches, marks and general age-related wear throughout.

The red paintwork is extremely worn, with large areas of paint loss exposing the underlying metal.

The original silver/metal detailing is also heavily worn and the original Esso markings are no longer clearly visible.

There is considerable surface tarnishing and age-related wear to the metalwork, wheels and axles.

All four wheels are present and the model appears structurally complete.

No original box included.
