An exquisite pair of vintage Mid-Century Chinese ceramic Foo Dogs (Guardian Lions) featuring a stunning, glossy pale celadon green glaze with a fine crackle finish. Hand-crafted in the traditional Shiwan pottery style, this pair features the classic depiction of the male lion resting his paw on an embroidered ball and the female lion with her cub.
This specific pair carries a fascinating provenance: they were formerly owned and used by Hollywood Cinema Arts (HCA), a prominent Hollywood prop and production supply company. Both statues retain the handwritten "HCA" inventory markings on their bases, making them a unique piece of Hollywood history as well as a beautiful Chinoiserie decor ensemble.

- Left Statue: There is a noticeable old repair running from the mouth through the head and back of the neck (see close-up photos). There is also a chip on the corner of the pedestal base right below the front paw, exposing the orange clay base (see photo).
- Right Statue: In good vintage condition with minor glaze imperfections and surface wear consistent with age and production.
- Mark: Feature handwritten "HCA" markings on the unglazed bottoms from their time in Hollywood production inventory.
