Up for sale is a uniquely designed vintage heavy-duty ball peen machinist/blacksmith hammer. This piece features unusually thick, flared/reinforced cheek shoulders around the oval eye socket, designed to provide extra strength and prevent head looseness under heavy striking.
Head Features: Heavy drop-forged steel with distinct angular cheek geometry. Steel wedging at the top. Face and peen have been cleaned and ground smooth, ready for use or display. No visible manufacturer stamps or markings remain.
Handle: Sturdy hardwood handle featuring carved/turned grip rings for improved hand traction. Tight fit in the eye.
