“Eyeglass Bridge at Nishi Ōtani” by Hasegawa Sadanobu I. From the series “Famous Places in the Capital” [i.e. Kyoto] ' (Miyako meisho no uchi.) Authentic antique print dating circa 1850s-1860s.

Print measures 9.25” x 6.75.” ( sheet size.) Found in an old estate collection. Please Note: This print has been laid down (glued) to backing board (likely acidic), although there is an intervening sheet between. We did not attempt to float it off the backing out of concern the pigments may be fugitive. Perhaps a conservator could address it. There is no glass in the frame. The mat has some creasing and should be replaced. This seems to be a rather scarce print.
