About the artist: Elegant, energetic Vivian Raisch crafts her porcelains as she lives her life--with vivacity, heart, and humor. Drawn to art even as a child, Vivian has spent the better part of her life creating, studying, and selling artwork. But it was not until Christmas 1995 that Vivian began to pour her talents into her own line of porcelain sculptures called Vivi.
This new direction was a natural outgrowth of Vivian's life and work. Her experiences as a young girl, wife, mother, and grandmother fueled her natural creativity, enabling her to sculpt porcelains that are, in Vivian's own words, "a visual celebration of life." Her business background allowed her dreams to blossom into reality. No stranger to the art world, Vivian and her husband, Bob had transformed the family photography business into a nationally renowned art gallery in the mid-1980s. In addition, Vivian's popularity as a lecturer saw her crisscrossing the country to share her extensive knowledge of the art industry. Launching the Vivi collection was a logical next step.
A resident of NY State since birth, Vivian Raisch now resides--and creates--among the rolling hills of Dutchess Country. She has two children and two grandchildren
