This pre-loved Forge World Malanthrope is a distinctive classic Tyranid bioform for Warhammer 40,000, offering strong appeal to collectors of Forge World miniatures, older Tyranid models and unusual creatures from the Great Devourer.
The Malanthrope is a highly specialised Tyranid organism whose role differs from the conventional assault creatures of the Hive Mind. Rather than existing purely to destroy enemy forces, the Malanthrope follows in the wake of Tyranid attacks to recover and process valuable genetic material, passing useful biological information back into the Tyranid gene pool.
Its unusual floating form, long tendrils and bloated organic structures give the Malanthrope a particularly distinctive appearance alongside creatures such as Zoanthropes and Venomthropes. The design is characteristic of the more unusual bioforms explored through Forge World's classic Tyranid range.
The Malanthrope is currently represented in Warhammer Legends, where it remains a Tyranid Character, Synapse and Fly unit and can be associated with Venomthropes. This gives the model additional appeal to players maintaining older Tyranid collections as well as hobbyists interested primarily in classic Forge World miniatures.
This pre-loved Malanthrope is ideal for a classic Tyranid army, Forge World collection, Warhammer Legends force, restoration project or display collection. Its unusual design also makes it an excellent centrepiece amongst smaller Tyranid organisms.
