The Die IIb “HARRISON PLATE" 3rd Watermark 6d BLUE Kangaroo was first printed in Australia in May 1921 (with delivery into stock the following month). The earliest known date-of-use is 23 July 1921. These marsupials were printed by T.S. HARRISON off two new Plates (Plate 3 - UPPER & Plate 4 - LOWER) each with 120 stamps on in two Panes of 60, each 10 rows of 6 Stamps. They were used as the intrastate parcel rate. There were six printings made between May 1921 and March 1923 totalling 18,960,000 Die IIB blues. THE AUSTRALIAN COMMONWEALTH SPECIALISTS' CATALOGUE "KANGAROOS" (ACSC 2025) lists these shades as:
ACSC 20A - ULTRAMARINE (shades)
ACSC 20B - VIOLET-BLUE (shades)
ACSC 20C - ULTRAMARINE (PALE to VERY PALE)
