Welcome to Lulu Boop Vintage — a curated world of antique and vintage garments, thoughtfully preserved and reimagined to be worn again. Each piece is one of a kind, carrying its own past and ready to become part of yours.
A beautiful late 1930s to early 1940s ivory satin slip dress with an elegant bias-cut silhouette and delicate lace appliqué detailing across the bodice.
The sculpted bust is especially lovely, designed with curved seaming and softly gathered satin panels that create shape and dimension. Floral lace follows the neckline and extends gracefully toward the sides, while slender straps and a low-cut back complete the romantic silhouette.
Cut on the bias for a fluid, body-skimming drape, the skirt falls to a softly flared midi-length hem. Two small lace appliqués were later added by Lulu Boop Vintage—one at the front and one at the back—to conceal areas of age-related wear. They blend beautifully with the original lace and add to the garment’s one-of-a-kind character.
There is no surviving fabric label. The material is a lustrous, exceptionally soft satin but its exact fiber content cannot be confirmed.
A beautiful piece of antique lingerie that can also be worn as a slip dress, styled for bridal dressing, or layered under a jacket or knit.
Clean and ready to wear.
Condition
Very good antique condition, with light signs of age and wear consistent with a garment of this era. Two small lace appliqués were added at the lower skirt—one at the front and one at the back—to conceal areas of wear. Please review all photographs carefully.
