This listing is for a vintage Otto Link "Super" Tone Master tenor saxophone mouthpiece. This is a 1960's era STM that was made in Pompano Beach, Florida. It does not have a "U.S.A." stamp on the shank. The facing number is 6, stamped on the side in small font. The tip opening measures just a hair over spec at .092". I don't believe that is an indication that it has been altered though...it's likely just due to normal production variances.
This mouthpiece is in excellent condition. The tip, table, and rails are smooth, and original. There are no indentations in the bite plate. The shank is round. Most of the gold plating has worn off, revealing the underlying silver. That is quite normal for these. The plating is more worn on the table, on the sides adjacent to the table, and on the shank just behind the table. I lightly polished, cleaned, and sanitized it.
Also included is the original ligature for this mouthpiece. The ligature is the "T" screw variety. It is also in very good condition. It has not been bent out of shape, cracked, or otherwise damaged. The screw works properly. It does have some wear/bubbling of the finish on the reed plate. I thought the cap was original at first, but then I noticed that it has a "France" stamp on it so apparently, it is not. It is a good fit though, and is in very good condition. Everything comes in its original box, which is even in surprisingly good shape!
