Beautiful vintage signed Coro fur clip featuring an ornate, dimensional design in richly textured gold-tone metal.
The focal point is a large oval turquoise-blue cabochon surrounded by decorative openwork detailing. Deep amethyst-purple faceted glass stones, smaller purple accent stones, and softly glowing faux pearls create a striking combination of color and texture. Raised floral elements, beaded accents, scrolling filigree-style openwork, and a twisted-rope border complete the elaborate design.
Please note that the small circular openings surrounding the blue cabochon are intentional elements of the cast openwork design and are not missing-stone settings. All stones are present.
The reverse is signed CORO and fitted with a traditional hinged double-prong fur clip mechanism. This is a standalone fur clip and is not part of a Duette. It may be worn on a coat, jacket, scarf, hat, heavier fabric, or displayed as part of a vintage costume jewelry collection.
Measurements: Approximately 2 inches long by 1.5 inches wide.
Good vintage condition with all stones present. There is age-appropriate wear and finish variation to the gold-tone metal, along with some visible wear to the faux-pearl coatings. The clip mechanism opens and closes properly. Please examine all photographs closely, as they are an important part of the condition description.
A distinctive and collectible Coro statement piece with beautiful jewel-tone coloring and wonderful dimensional detail.
