Official Release - August 27, 2026

1First day letter-signed-411 Separate Brigade of Unmanned Systems "Hawks-

signed:
1. Andriy Sukhin (call sign "Atlas") - colonel, brigade commander
Sukhin has served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 1997. He graduated from the Kharkiv Military University and the Kyiv National Economic University. He has experience in a peacekeeping mission in Iraq, after which he served in the Land Forces Command.
Before the full-scale war, he left military service for a while and engaged in civilian activities. But after the start of the Russian invasion, he returned to the Armed Forces of Ukraine on February 25, 2022.
In November 2022, Andriy Sukhin headed the newly created 411th separate UAV battalion "Yastruby". Under his leadership, the unit developed the direction of unmanned systems and later grew first to a separate regiment, and in 2026 to the 411th separate brigade of unmanned systems "Yastruby".
Among the areas where the "Yastruby" units operated, Sukhin mentioned, in particular, Bakhmut, Klischiivka, and Serebryanskyi Forest.
Sukhin talks a lot about the technological change of the Ukrainian army. He emphasizes that modern warfare is changing very quickly, so the military has to constantly learn, test new technologies and adapt tactics.
An interesting point: he said that about 95% of the personnel of his unit did not have a military education, but many people came from civilian life - from business and various professions. In his opinion, it is important not to just give orders, but to explain to people the goal and the result that needs to be achieved.
2. Yevhen Mykolayenko (call sign "Avangard") - captain, deputy chief of staff for mobilization work of the brigade
3. Veniamin Kryzhanivskyi - senior sergeant of the brigade, artist, author of the issue

Of course. The 411th separate brigade of unmanned systems "Yastruby" is one of the well-known Ukrainian units that specializes in unmanned technologies. Moreover, its history began back in 2022, when it was a battalion.
The history of the unit began in 2022 - the 411th separate battalion of unmanned aviation complexes was formed. Its tasks were reconnaissance, detection and destruction of targets.
In 2023, the "Yastruby" worked in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Kherson directions.
In December 2024, the battalion was scaled up to the 411th regiment of UAVs "Yastruby", and in March 2026 - to the 411th separate brigade of unmanned systems.
That is, the path can be briefly shown as follows:
battalion → regiment → brigade.
Commander — Colonel Andriy "Atlas" Sukhin
This is not just a unit of FPV operators. The brigade uses a whole system of unmanned vehicles:
• reconnaissance UAVs;
• FPV drones;
• strike bombers;
• interceptor drones;
• strike wings;
• long-range unmanned systems;
• ground robotic systems;
• electronic warfare and electronic warfare equipment.
Their work includes reconnaissance, detection, tracking and destruction of targets, as well as counteraction to enemy drones.
One of the interesting features of the brigade is its own technological developments.
The "Hawks" have developed the analytical module Vezha ("Tower"), which works with video from drones, helps analyze the situation and transform information from the battlefield into data suitable for decision-making. The system was integrated into Delta.

This shows that the "Hawks" are not only military crews, but also a technological unit, where programmers, analysts, engineers, and electronic warfare specialists play an important role.
