Fantastic empires - Nominated Kennerspiel 2021 - german

In Fantastic empires The players try to create the most powerful kingdom with their hand of 7 cards.
As ruler of a far away land, your goal is to build the most powerful empire in the world. They may build a massive army to destroy everything, but that is not the only path to victory.
Perhaps the kingdom will take the form of an erupting volcano or a terrible hurricane that will sweep away everything in its path. Perhaps the player will control a great wizard in his fortress, located secluded on an inaccessible island and surrounded by impenetrable flames.
The players have the choice, because no two empires are the same.
Fantastic empires is easy to learn (in one turn a player only takes one card and puts one down), but offers an almost infinite number of possible combinations thanks to 53 different cards.
It stands out from other card games thanks to its fresh basic idea.
It's neither about collecting tricks nor about discarding your cards as quickly as possible. Instead, you try to optimize your hand of cards over several rounds.
The whole thing is extremely entertaining and you also have to keep an eye on the end of the game, which may quickly approach.
The players try to form the best combos with their 7 hand cards in order to score the most points with their empire. Maybe a player builds a massive army to destroy everything.
Perhaps a kingdom will take the form of an erupting volcano or a terrible hurricane that sweeps away everything in its path. Perhaps a player will control a great wizard in his fortress, located secluded on an inaccessible island and surrounded by impenetrable flames.
Everyone has a choice, because no two empires are the same.
