Andriy Pyatov is a goalkeeper of an era
Andriy Valeriyovych Pyatov was born on June 28, 1984 in Kropyvnytskyi. He received his football training in the Vorskla system. He made his debut for the Ukrainian national team on August 22, 2007 in a match against Uzbekistan.
But the main part of his football life is connected with Shakhtar.
He came to the Donetsk club as a young goalkeeper and over time became its long-standing number one, captain and one of the team's symbols.
A special place is the 2009 UEFA Cup
For Pyatov, this was one of the brightest pages of his career.
In 2009, Shakhtar reached the UEFA Cup final and defeated Werder Bremen in Istanbul - 2:1 after extra time.
For the young Pyatov, it was a huge moment: he was the goalkeeper of the team that won the first major European trophy in the history of Shakhtar.
Pyatov was the main goalkeeper of the national team for many years.
He made his debut in 2007 and played 97 matches for Ukraine - exactly 97 matches are indicated by the official UAF guide.
He played in major tournaments, including Euro 2012, Euro 2016 and Euro 2020.
And Pyatov repeatedly took to the field with the captain's armband. He himself said that for him, captaincy is above all a responsibility and an honor.
He was a goalkeeper who remained calm, reliable and professional for many years. A goalkeeper is a special position: one mistake can decide the fate of a match. And Pyatov withstood enormous pressure and remained an important figure for Shakhtar for many years.
His career came at a very difficult time: he experienced moving from Donetsk with the club, the loss of the Donbas Arena, performances at other stadiums and difficult years for Ukraine.
Therefore, for many fans, Pyatov is no longer just a former goalkeeper.
He is a person who is associated with an entire era of Shakhtar. 🧡🖤

2.Darya Savina- is a TV presenter, journalist and media personality of Shakhtar. She worked on football television, was a correspondent and presenter, and later became part of the Shakhtar media team. At the club, she participates in live broadcasts, major interviews, and creates entertainment and social content.
Interestingly, Darya has been involved in sports since childhood. She holds the title of Master of Sports in ballroom dancing, was a multiple champion and finalist of Ukrainian competitions and a medalist of international tournaments.
Her life is very closely connected with Shakhtar
Darya is the wife of Shakhtar and Ukrainian national team central defender Valery Bondar. They got married in 2021.
Before her television career, she was a model, and later became an ambassador for the PUMA sports brand. In 2025, Daria even became the face of the Spanish magazine VOUS Magazine, dedicated to fashion, style, and culture.
Shakhtar Donetsk is one of the most famous and most titled Ukrainian football clubs. Its history began in 1936, when the Donbass miners team was created. The first name was Stakhanovets, and since 1946 the club has been called Shakhtar.

3. №1,№3.-Volodymyr Taran is the author of the Shakhtar anniversary stamp
For the club's 90th anniversary, Volodymyr Taran created a postage stamp set of three stamps:
• 🏆 "UEFA Cup Winner 2009" - a reminder of Shakhtar's greatest European triumph;
• 🧡 "16-time Champion of Ukraine" - about the club's championship victories;
• 🏟️ "Let's play at home!" - with the image of the legendary Donbas Arena and the club flag.
I especially like the third stamp. It has a very strong symbolic meaning: Shakhtar has not been able to play home matches in its native Donetsk for many years, so the words "Let's play at home!" sound like a dream of returning. This is how Ukrposhta presents it.
✉️ And Taran also designed the envelope
The envelope of the “First Day” does not use Taran’s drawing, but the famous archival photo by Lev Azriel “Shakhtar is Playing” from 1967. It shows fans watching football from the Donetsk wasteland — the so-called “fifth stand”.

The circulation of the block itself is 40,000 copies


Over 90 years, the club has experienced a lot: victories and defeats, a change of generations, major European matches, the loss of its native Donetsk and forced relocations. But Shakhtar continued to play and represent Ukraine at the highest level.

In modern history, Shakhtar has become a real giant of Ukrainian football. The club has 16 Ukrainian championships, 15 Ukrainian Cups, 9 Ukrainian Super Cups and the 2009 UEFA Cup. In total, the club has 46 trophies.

And the 2009 UEFA Cup is a special page in history. The Miners defeated the German Werder Bremen in the final and won a major European trophy for the first time.
For Shakhtar, footballers whose names will forever remain in the club's history played: Vitaliy Starukhin, Mykhailo Sokolovsky, Andriy Pyatov, Darijo Srna, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Jadson, Luiz Adriano, Fernandinho and many others.

The work of Mircea Lucescu was a special era - in 12 years with the team he won 22 trophies.
Donbass Arena…-
For many fans, it is not just a stadium. It is a symbol of Donetsk and the great Shakhtar.

When Donbas Arena was opened in 2009, it became one of the most modern football arenas in Europe. The stadium could accommodate 52,898 spectators.

And, perhaps, that is why for old fans the words “Shakhtar” and “Donetsk” will forever remain connected.

The name -Shakhtar - is very symbolic. The club originated from the Donbass miners’ football team. And since the 1960s, the traditional colors have become orange and black - colors that are now inseparable from “Shakhtar”.

Orange is energy, sun, struggle.

Black is strength, character and miners’ work.

And together they have become recognizable far beyond the borders of Ukraine.

Today, “Shakhtar” continues to play in Ukrainian football and represent Ukraine in European tournaments. The club’s official philosophy is to set new boundaries and standards of excellence in football.

“Shakhtar” is not only 11 football players on the field. It is a generation of players, coaches and fans. This is Donetsk, mining work, orange and black colors, great victories and the memory of those times when the Donbas Arena was filled with people.
