Installed RKE System Type: Please be sure you have a FACTORY (RKE) remote keyless entry system. It was not standard on all vehicles. If your current remote looks the same then this will work. Other options include: Dealer Installed or Aftermarket. The system installed in your vehicle will CHANGE the required remote. If you are unsure ask your local dealer they will need your VIN # (Vehicle Identification Number (located on our vehicle registration car, on your driver’s side door jam, or your windshield (lower left driver’s side))).
Compatibility: Works with vehicles that use a factory keyless entry system listed in my compatibility section above. Also be sure you need the 5 button remote. Some models use more buttons depending on the options it came with.
Why does your vehicle’s installed RKE / Security system determine which remote control your can purchase? The remote’s job is to pair with your vehicle’s installed RKE system. It will only sync to a matching system; therefore, you cannot purchase a different type of remote than the remote manufactured with the system. It will not pair with a foreign system.
Programming: Programming Requirements:
The manufacturer’s programming instructions For your vehicle make model and year specify diagnostic programming required.
Your vehicle’s RKE (remote keyless entry) System requires programming by your local auto locksmith. The procedure can be done with a scan tool /dianostic equipment & takes a few minutes to complete. We suggest a local Automotive locksmith.
You will need;
1. the remote and
2. the vehicle you will be syncing the remote to
. (BEWARE: if you choose to take the remote to your local DEALER : many dealers will charge for 1 hour of labor to do this & often times they will tell you that it will not work so that you will have to purchase a remote from them at 2-3 times the cost)

PROGRAMMING 2 Steps:
1. You will need to have the remote programmed by a qualified automotive locksmith to your vehicle's installed RKE system.
2. You will need to have the transponder chip programmed by a qualified automotive locksmith to sync with your vehicle's immobilizer to start your engine.
