PAS made these as serious professional coaxials, and the basic CXL architecture has some pedigree. The closely related PAS coax was used in UREI monitoring systems, and PAS specifically designed these units so the compression driver could be mounted behind the woofer rather than being permanently integral to it.

PAS lists the CXL-2580C as an 8-ohm, 4-inch-voice-coil, 15-inch coaxial unit with a recommended 1.2 kHz crossover.
