This listing is for a Vintage (c 1950s / 60s) 'Rabone and Sons' 8" High Precision Engineers Level - A top quality spirit level designed for machinists and engineers. It is made of plated metal, on a cast iron base. The heavy base is designed to remain completely stable on machinery, and the bottom of the level has a central groove, allowing it to sit perfectly flat on round pipes or shafts. The top cover of the tube can be twisted open to view the bubble, and it has fine adjustment screws on each end, allowing it to be precisely calibrated. It is in great condition, and would make a useful tool for a professional engineer.

If your days of levelling are over, it could also be utilised as a desktop paperweight, and would make a novel present to a retired engineer.
