This set of 2 beautiful vintage Victorian antique door plates with knobs and cast iron escutcheons features a beautiful bronze or copper finish over cast iron. A magnet will stick to them so we know they're not bronze or brass though they look bronze. The ornate floral scrollwork and handmade craftsmanship make it a unique and decorative choice for any door. The plates are marked with C.A. 509 and come as a matched set, with the door knobs also matching each other and matching the door plates, adding a touch of historical charm to any architectural or garden project. The maker is possibly Corbin or Reading Hardware Co, adding to the vintage appeal of this antique original set. They were removed from a home built in 1905 and measure approximately 8.25" long by 2" across. I have not attempted to clean them up and they've been in storage so they arrive exactly as shown here. Good vintage condition with scuffs, minor scratches, a little rust, some paint loss, patina and general wear consistent with their age.
