Top tray - manicure kit, thimble, button hook etc. One item missing.

Bottles - 2 large jars, 2 small bottles with glass stoppers; all 4 with silver lids. The lids each have a tiny square pucn with '1' inside - French first standard .950 silver. The case itself was probably made in London.

The bottom compartment has 2 clothes brushes and one tiny brush, and 2 drawers with pulls.

There is a travel mirror in the lid, cracked but intact.

There is also, importantly, a provenance note, which reads "Dressing Case brought to Bridget from Father 1865 Given to me by her".

The date, handwritten provenance, .950 silver lids mark this case out. No key.
